Why $85
This is a small-batch shirt, made to order by a technical-apparel shop. The art is based on original hand-painted work by Electra co-founder Heather Alvis, a painter of thirty years. Every sale supports Electra's work on Farm Solar Fit, a decision tool that helps farmers and ranchers see whether solar fits their property, and on what terms.

Meet Winnie. The sun has just cleared the horizon, the first warm light is hitting the pasture, and she has walked straight up to see who you are. Behind her, three sheep are soaking in the morning rays under the panels and the bees are waking up in the hive. Winnie lives on a farm that stayed: a family place that was one bad year from a for-sale sign until the farmer ran his own numbers and found that solar and grazing on the same acres beat every other option. Her name is short for win-win-win. The farmer earns a second income from the same land, the grid gets clean power, and the pasture, the animals, and the pollinators come out ahead. As Winnie puts it, she got the best nap spot in the county.
The artwork wraps the whole shirt. Front: Winnie, close enough to touch, with the array behind her and wildflowers at her feet. Back: sunrise pouring through the rows of panels onto a field of wildflowers. Sleeves carry the sky, the panels, and the flowers out to your wrists, and the hood is the deep blue of the sky before the sun is fully up.
